Values

  1. We value JESUS CHRIST. We desire His person, His love, His mercy and His power to shine through all we do. (Colossians 1)
  2. We value INTEGRITY. We seek completely truthful, consistent, and open relationships with God, with others, and with ourselves. (1 Peter 2:12, Proverbs 27:17, 12:15)
  3. We value SIMPLICITY. We want our worship services and style of ministry to free people from complex traditions or heavy administration but to focus naturally on relationships. (2 Corinthians 1:12, 1 Corinthians 2:1-4)
  4. We value INTENTIONALITY IN CROSS CULTURAL RELATIONSHIPS. We would like everyone in our church to have a friendship with someone from a culture* different than their own. We also encourage and support people to live in other cultures through mission trips and various ministries. We want to model this in every aspect of church life. (Matthew 28:19, Acts 10) *By culture we mean ethnic, social, age & gender.
  5. We value GENEROSITY. We want to remain free from debt so as to be able to invest more in people, support various ministries and support missions around the world. (Mark 14:1-11, Mark 12:41-44, 2 Corinthians 8)
  6. We value WORSHIP. We share God’s desire for an intimate relationship which is cultivated by dynamic worship in private and corporate settings, and a need for an understanding of the Word of God. (Psalm 139, Acts 2:42, Matthew 6:5-15)
  7. We value GENUINE FELLOWSHIP WITH ONE ANOTHER in 1-1 & small group contexts. We want genuine caring friendships to be the context in which purity of life, holiness, Christian character and ministry occur. (Johan 13:34-35, Galatians 6:2, 1 Corinthians 12:7, 12-27)
  8. We value THE BODY OF CHRIST. We recognize that we are only a part of the larger body of Christ and seek to work in partnership with other churches and parachurch organizations that have a similar vision to ours. (1 Corinthians 12)
  9. We value EXCELLENCE IN MINISTRY BALANCED WITH OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHRISTIAN EXPERIENCE. We want to serve Christ with a passion and give Him our absolute best while recognizing that as people develop their gifts they will not be as refined as those with more experience. We embrace people who want to grow in using their gifts and seek to equip them for service at every stage of life . (Colossians 3:17, Mark 12:20, Acts 15:36-39, Acts 18:24-26)
  10. We value RECONCILIATION. We believe a right relationship with God is the basis for all true reconciliation but that the church should model reconciliation among family members, ethnic groups, gender, social/economic status and denominations. (2 Corinthians 5:18-20, Galatians 3:26-29)
  11. We value RELEVANCE. We believe God’s Word contains the solution to every challenge in life, therefore, we present God’s Word in creative, artistic, and culturally relevant ways. (Psalm 119:105, 1 Corinthians 9:19-23, Acts 17:16-19)
  12. We value COMPASSION. We want to serve those in need in the community around us and in the world at large. (Matthew 9:35-38)
  13. We value PRAYER. Both personally and corporately we want to pray for God’s purpose in our lives and the nations of the world to be fulfilled. (Isaiah 56:7, Mark 14:12-25)
  14. We value EXTENDING THE KINGDOM OF GOD. Thus we practice preaching the gospel, healing the sick, driving out demons, discipling believers, and feeding the poor. We participate in seeing God’s kingdom established among all the people groups of the world. (Luke 4:18-21, Matthew 28:19)
  15. We value AUTHORITY. We submit all decisions to God’s Word as a final standard for our faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, John 8:31-32)
